Madison

Wow look at how bad I have been at updating this blog! Well I guess the last 6 months went way too fast that I didn't even have time to blog or something. So lets see what is new.....

I graduated from Mankato May 9th and that ended my life as a college student... well for now. I do plan to go get my masters in about a year but will take it part time and probably online. I'm thinking of getting my MBA. So for the next year I am going to ponder that and make sure that is what I want to do. I moved back to Wisconsin the weekend of graduation because I started work here in Madison WI on May 11th.

So I entered the real world of work. Everyone asks how it feels to be graduated and the truth is it doesn't feel any different right now because everyone is on summer break and it feels normal. Now ask me in August and i'll probably say I want to go back to school. Well hopefully not. I am working at Orange Shoe Gym in Madison as personal trainer. We are a small gym that offers onlyl personal training, individual and small group (max 4 people) So my days are filled with training and coming up with fun things to do. I really like it except I am getting used to working from 1-10 which is my shift. I would much rather be up early but oh well. In June I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment in Madison only minutes away from work. For the last two months I have been living by myself and with no internet!!!! My roommate Amanda, is one of my best friends from high school and she moves in this weekend which I am super excited about. I have realized that I never want to live by myself again! It is awful!!!!! Ok so its fine for 5 minutes but then I have no one to talk to except myself and I am trying to make my neighbors think I am normal so I have avoided that. Another one of my best friends from high school is also moving to Madison the middle of August so that will be nice. We were all apart for college and now we are all in the same town.

All in all summer is flying by! I can't believe that August is almost here. The middle of August I am going to the Virgin Islands just for a long weekend with my cousin Jane so I am looking forward to that. You see the weather here hasn't even been nice enough to get a tan so I have to go find the sun. Well thats a short update for now.

Back to School

I have back in Mankato for two weeks now, well i think.... I came back a week early because I had a workshop that I needed to do and I had work. Classes started on the 12th and I only have three of them this semester.... three that I have to physically go to and then an online class in medical terminology. The weeks have been flying by as I have busy with work. I work at Lake Crystal Rec center where I help design programs, teach classes such as Butts and Guts my favorite, and personal train. I have my internship at school which has been really busy will all my teams signing up for Boot Camp which I came up with. I have 16 teams so now I need to match them up with trainers. Then I work some weekends at the YMCA. So that is my life right now.

My roommates and I just booked spring break to Jamaica. We are staying in an all inclusive for 7 nights so we are all excited. It has been so cold here so just the thought of having tickets to some place warm makes me much more excited. Last week the coldest morning was a wind chill of -45. I had to be at work that morning at around 5:30 and let me tell you it was cold cold cold when I got up at 4:45. I thought my body froze and I was still in bed. Haha Anyways I can't complain right now because it was 30 degrees today.

Tomorrow we don't have classes because of Martin Luther King Day. I will probably go to campus and work for my internship a bit so I feel more caught up. I have to go get my bridesmaid dress fitted tomorrow too. I am in my roommmates wedding which is Feb 7th. So I guess the moment of truth will come tomorrow..... we will see how much I really ate over christmas break. I don't ever have class on Fridays and I did not schedule any clients on Friday so I will be able to go home Thursday night for the weekend. Gotta go home and hang out with the fam :)

Well thats just a short update. I am really going to try to do better because I love reading all your guys' blogs!!!!!

Happy New Years!!!

I hope everyone had a good New Years. Can you believe it is 2009? Scary. Well not much is new over here. I don't even have any pictures or anything to put up. Yesterday was my last day of work at Nike and I told them this was it. No more coming back because I need to grow up now. Haha. Today Mom, Angela, and Angela's friend Katie went on a little shopping spree. We went to Kohls and didn't even look at clothes because with all those holiday treats all the clothes would be too tight so instead we got purses. Those always fit! We went out to eat and then ran into the mall and Wal-Mart and now we are home. A nap sounds really good but who takes a nap after 4? Tonight we have a volleyball get together so I can't wait to see my dad's moves on the volleyball court. :)

I will head back to Minnesota on Monday. I have some workshops and work to do starting Tuesday and then school will start the following Monday. It will be my last first day of class at MSU. Crazy. I signed up for the 1/2 marathon in Madison in May so that will give me something to train for in the spring. I can't make up any excuses not to go to the gym like I have been lately. Anyways hope 2009 is going great for everyone so far!

Merry Christmas

I hope you all are having a wonderful christmas!!! Michael and dad went snowmobiling and Angela and I cleaned her room which was a major project. My car is jammed packed of things to take to the thrift store that I cleaned out of her room. We have just been relaxing today. Travis got the game Clue so we have been playing that and maybe I should be a detective because I'm pretty darn good at that game :) Well here is the other video of Angela that somehow didn't make it on my last post. Travis and I did go snowboarding BUT I forgot my camera. Next time, next time. He fell on some rail and now has a big bruise on his leg. Oh but I do have a nice picture of him after he cut his hair and then I styled it for him. I want to give him a buzz cut but he says no way jose. I was informed that he is in style.

Week Two of Vacation

Well it seems like vacation is just flying by. I'm not too sure about this whole global warming thing because I'm quite sure it is not even close to warm around here. Travis wants to go snowboarding tonight because it will be the warmest night, 20 degrees, WHOO WHOO. It snows like every day here so the snow just keeps piling up. I guess we will have plenty of snow for christmas :) Well not much is new. Just keeping busy doing random stuff. Haha. I thought I would post some videos of Angela's gymnastics routine and the last meet she did better but I forgot my camera. whoops. So these are from her first competition. If I take Travis snowboarding I'll have to get some videos of him on the rails because he informs me that he is just like Shawn White. UMMMMMM :)

Christmas Break Week One

Well school is finally out for winter! Its about time. I have been extremely busy since I got home. Getting the right amount of sleep, baking, playing games, not having any deadlines, you know being extremely busy :) I am working at Nike some so I can get that awesome discount. I tell you, now they should be paying me just for walking around since most of my clothes I wear have that nike swoosh on them. This week I only work two days so I have been doing some things for my mom. Like cleaning out closets and stuff. I actually don't mind it all. It's kind of fun seeing things go from messy to clean. It snowed last night, I think we got 4 in and tomorrow night my dad says we are suppose to get 14 in. Now this is coming from Mr. Dan Parsons so I have not checked to see if this is reliable information but as of now that is what I'm believing until I read the paper. I want to do some shopping today but I do not want to get all the snow off my car. Thats like 4 in!!! So I told Ryan that he should get his shopping done today and since I'm on the way to the mall he should just pick me up. That way I don't have to go outside and get the snow off my car. And it worked. So now I'm just waiting for him. Thats about all the excitement right now.

Coming to the End

Well today is the last Monday of classes I will have this semester!!!! YEAH. The best part is I skiped my first two classes my 6:30 am and my 8:00am to sleep in because I have not been feeling too good lately. Guess I caught that cold/flu that has been going around. That's just what I needed :)

Anyways not much is new. Actually nothing is new. I was amazed at all the crazy people that went shopping at midnight on Friday and I was even crazier to work such a dumb shift 1145pm -4:30 and then noon to 5pm. Thats probably how I got sick, right there. There were people all over and I couldn't believe how many people brought their little kids with them. Don't they know their kids just want to sleep and not shop. I guess hiring a babysitter would be defeating the purpose of saving money. Anyways I am glad that day is over as some people get way too crazy. I mean a Wal-Mart sales associate was trampled to death out east. Good thing I don't work at wal-mart. :) I was thinking they should just have all their great sales online and then I can just shop online and not deal with people beating me up for a good sale.

Well today is Dec 1st which means only 25 more days til christmas. For those of you looking to buy me a present this is what i want............. haha JK. Just come visit and that will be the best present ever!!! Well i suppose I should stop blogging and get back to work. Now where is the fun in that :)
